A lot of risk and wild swings based on trade and currency wars, given current market price levels. Some people are calling a market top in the major stock indexes, and I agree this is very possible. Precious metals have been on a steady rise over the past few years, and more-so over the last several months. Of course hindsight is 20/20, but risk management is necessary.

It's difficult to understand why average credit card rates have been steadily rising over this 10 year low interest rate cycle. What happens to people with high credit card debt when rates rise?

Thank you for the reminders on important things to consider when storing card info. One thing that I feel as secure as possible is to not save card data on retailer sites, but to either manually enter it, or use autofill or software such as Roboform.

Indeed, this will likely provide many responsible and financially independent people a more accurate credit score. Excellent news, and pretty exciting!

Welcome back, we missed you! Yes, the move seems unusual and risky. Not sure if the Preferred offer was profitable enough for them, and they decided to introduce the fee based offer. They are going after a different audience now.

Great points Chris, and especially true in the early years. The conveniences of online shopping usually makes it worthwhile for exhausted parents! Target has a pretty good selection of diapers, clothing, food and such with a fair price.

I decided to scan posts that are similar to certain pages, such as credit cards and blogs. This will not be perfect matching, but so far it does look promising.

An example can be found at the credit card status for USAA Rewards American Express card. Scroll to the bottom, and you will see suggestions.

Google no longer favors exact match keyword domain names like they used to. Invalid consumer key/secret in configuration My belief is that easy to remember, or catchy names will remain strong in the marketplace.

This is the republican's way of looking at taxes. Allow corporations to keep the money to "hopefully" re-invest in our people.

Hindsight says that investing in stocks would have paid off very well, especially over that last 9 years as well as other booms in our past. Just remember the old saying that still applies: buy low, sell high. The important question is how low and ho

Breaches in our era have become more common - giving that numbed reaction that we are seeing. However this one exposes so much more info than most people dare to imagine or admit.

A good article from Website Magazine for anyone with a website. Expect fake signups, orders and accounts: https://www.websitemagazine.com/blog/what-businesses-need-to-know-in-the-wake-of-the-equifax-breach

A thought I had the other day. We should all get a pin number we can change that's tied to our identity. Apply for a loan, apartment, credit card, or whatever requires a credit check, that pin needs to be verified. If we are compromised then we simply get a new pin by mail. There has to be a better way than what we are doing.

Great article Chris. One thing that I would like to note. If you are scared about an investment, then this is a wonderful sign that you have too much of your savings in a high risk area. Risk management is not being applied correctly.Allocation shoul

If we're being honest here, I never even knew it existed. Blogs?.......check. Credit Card info?..........check. The calculator that I use from time to time?........check. Stock market info? It must have been a lonely place to be.

You guys do great work here.
Thank you for your kind remarks MONEYES. This is the reason it is being removed, it simply did not get enough views. I look at areas of the site that are poor performers from time to time, and take them down to eliminate distractions from our members, as well as the time it takes to maintain an area.

I plan on removing stock info around March 15th. This is an area that hasn't received much attention, and cannot be maintained to the standard of the technology that's available from some of the bigger service providers. I wish to focus on the remaining areas of Finance Globe, such as the wonderful blog posts from our several dedicated authors, credit card data, calculators and the like.

Thank you for your understanding,
