jacknimbie's review: Callout Comment This card has too many fees,$7.95 to pay online,$5.75 monthly fee, now even if you do not use your card for a month of two they will still add purchase fees to your account, so if you only pay your minimum payment, these fees put you over your limit then they charge you for that, only card I have ever seen that you have absolutely not even $1.00 left after fees.

Remarks I know this card carries a lot of fees however most of us who have been through financial and credit hardship have no other alternative. I say hang on to the card until you are able to get a better one. This card will assist in restablishing credit. Good luck

Remarks From what I've seen, they also have some of the lowest limits.

My little brother got an offer from them in the mail. $200 limit and about $120 in start-up fees.

After I talked to him, he was approved for a Citi student card w/ a $500 limit and no AF.

Go For A Secured Card User Icon on 2008-07-01

Remarks Go for a secured card instead.

your limit can range from 300-10,000 depending on how much you put down as a security deposit.

Bank of America has one.

i believe HSBC, Chase???

Yes Mark Is Right!! User Icon on 2008-07-01

Remarks Open a secured card these bank offer it Bank Of America, Citibank, Hsbc,

But I would recommend BOA or Citibank instead of paying all those fee's

In a year or two you could get your deposit back.

Good Luck,

Alex

Remarks This card does have the monthly fee and a fee to pay online. But you can avoid one of them, the online bill pay. All you have to do is mail a check or money order to them instead of paying online. Seems like to me that someone will have to be nearly close to the limit for the $7.95 monthly fee to take them over-the-limit. That is a number one No-No!

If you have read the reviews, you would have seen that this card is not nearly higher in fees in comparrison to some others, but like everyone said, your best bet is to get a Capital One or Orchard, they are more in your favor when it comes down to fees. Or just open a secured card.

Either way it goes, the card is still good for rebuilding. You can always change your type of cards as your credit gets stronger. I have been suffering for the past 5 years with subprimed cards, but my struggle is about to come to an end when very soon because my credit foundation is beginning to hold its own.

WELLS FARGO SECURED User Icon on 2008-07-02

Remarks WELLS FARGO SECURED Low in AF

Easy to increase or decrease your set secured when you open checking with them, so you don't have to mail in cheque. Excellent customer Service. They are fast to report to all 3. Without you ever asking they will graduate you to non secured.

Orchard though great help to build and repair all secured are, but they will try to keep you secured longer.

I was wondering if any knows how the annual fee will work on the tribute, my annual is 08/2008 do any of you know if the annual fee will post on a certain day based on when card was activated, or first used, or will it be anytime during the month of August, I would be grateful for any information received on this matter. Thank you all

Remarks A creditor will always try to charge you the annual early as possible. They will most likely charge you the annual a month before your account turns one year old.
