My 2 Cents... User Icon on 2008-03-20

Remarks I have this card a little over 2 years... Started at $500, currently at $1150, slow CLI, but they are consistent, usually $100 or $150 at a time, 6 months is their usual guidelines. High APR, paying online NOW costs $7.95, starting to get pricey, plus the $5.75 monthly fee($69 AF billed monthly), I'm starting to make this my last choice card... Good luck

Re:Casey User Icon on 2008-03-20

Remarks Casey if I were you I would mail them their monthly payment. I did that two times by mistake because I was not aware of the charge online, I have been mailing them their little monthly annual fee every month now. It is very irritating because it is easy to forget, so what I did was wrote 12 checks dated them all through the year, put them by my computer, and mail them every month.

Remarks I did check back today and I was approved for a Credit Card. WIth the advice that Casey Has Given Me about the Monthly fees, I really do not mind though I really just need this card to help me build credit so I will probably jus purchase a soda here and there...

Remarks Kasglan, I am glad you were approved! It isn't an awful card, just don't carry a balance. 23.9% APR adds up quick...

Meya, thank you for the tip, I'm just not much for writing checks anymore... Like I said, I just don't use it that much anymore. Sometimes, I moneygram 3 months worth of the fees and carry a credit balance, that only costs $6.50 at WalMart, which is now less than the $7.95 for their online payment fee, and that covers me for a while... Can't pay more than 3 months though, they'll return it to you. Twice I was even able to get them to waive the fee for 3 months, it all depends who you get on the other end of the phone... Sometimes they are nice, other times not...

I Got The Same Response User Icon on 2008-05-18

Remarks And then I got a letter in the mail. I also called customer service and what was funny... I asked her what additional information they needed ahead of time so that I could send it and she goes... I don't know because they are still processing it... Huh? Funny, the next day I received a letter in the mail asking for additional information. They want a copy of my W-2 or paycheck, or utility bill... K, I just started my work two months ago so no W-2, paycheck I receive my pay via Paypal... So not sure how that works... And Utility bill, they are all in hubby's name... So how am I suppose to do that?

Remarks Call them and ask if you can send in one of your bank statements. If they say yes, get the rep's name that you spoke with for future reference.

Remarks I wonder if they will do that, you think they are just trying to verify my address? I can send them a student load and bank account information. I'll give them a call tomorrow.
