I applied for this card back in August. I finally used the card for the first time on 10/04 by paying my water bill online for $31.38. The very next day I received an email notification that my statement was available online to view and the new balance was $31.38 with a payment due date of 10/20. Now If I would have known that I was going to receive a statement the next day with a payment due 16 days later, I would have written a check for the bill. Has anybody else experienced this with their Hooters Card? It makes me not want to use the card anymore.

Yes Paula... When you open your account there is a set closing date for it. You just happened to make your purchase or transaction the day before your bill was going out. Not a mistake by the card issuer or yours for that matter.
