sugarhillma23's review: Callout Comment It seems that I am the only one on here that is having a hard time getting approved for GE cards. Every year or other year, I try and apply for GE store cards, since there are so many from Old Navy, Childrens Place, Walmart, Kroger, etc and I cant get approved for any of them. I was pre approved for a best buy mastercard and had First Premier cards which I ended up closing, one charged off recently, but I applied before that happened and still got denied. What can I possibly do to get approved for one of these store cards? People always says its easier, but I been finding them harder than regular cards.

Remarks Have you taken a look at your report? They pull TU where I live. If you have virtually no history since closing your cards, I would start with someone like Capital One for at least six months. The longer since your charge off, the better your chances will be. They still require a certain score, so be aware of that, and see what is bringing your score down. Some GECapital cards are easier to get than others. I had to apply for the Amazon card at least a couple time before getting approved. I think you may need a low to mid 600's for Old Navy, Walmart, and a few others.

Remarks If you had applied before the charged off then you must had some late payments which is a no-no when applying for ANY credit cards.
