Trust me, this had nothing to do with those types of figures. I wish it did:laugh:

Well, anyway I talked to someone in financial aid and they told me to write an appeal letter to financial aid including what I went through with my past instructor and to let them know that I had no knowledge of failing the grade until after school started back. I was told that this works 50/50, and that I might have a better chance since I am at the end of my undergraduate. She is going to put her two cents in to help me out some, and to let them know that I did not have financial aid through the school in the Fall of 08. Financial aid does not cover repeated courses. Lord I hope this work!
:relieved:

My financial aid counselor is real cool and I agree to what she was saying about bringing this up to the dean. She mentioned to me that, first of all, regardless to what I say, I am going to have to retake the class or test out of it, there is no way I can test out of something that I had a hard time in in the beginning. Since I was able to get into my final math class without my counselor verifying that I successfully completed Math 20, she said to just go ahead and take it without saying anything and try my best to complete it. I was lucky to be able to enroll in my final math class without her seeing that I passed my last one. She never looked twice, so it is best to do them both so that I can graduate on time. This is going to be a mess, but I am going to pray that I complete it with a passing grade.

Lord Jesus, our Father who are in Heaven.............................:relieved:

Well charonh, guess what? She failed me. I don't even want to express the way I feel about her right about now, because it would not come out respectful. I sort of figured this was going to happen. Now my life feel like it has went down the drain.

Yes, I received my grades in December. Spring semester began yesterday, so its been pretty hectic for me lately. I am taking six classes, because I want to graduate this Fall. Meya you need to call the department head or speak to the dean, because grades are supposed to be posted well before the next semester starts. We received ours within a week after our classes ended.

Ohhhh lord! Where is Kmoney or Charonh, or anyone? Hey , quick question. Did you all receive your grades for Fall 08 yet? I know we are in separate schools, but I am just a nervous wreck right about now. OK, every since I have been in this school, we always receive our grades before the next semester starts. This instructor has not posted our grades to the school yet, well at least mines. Just in case I failed Math 20, I was hoping to re-enroll to it this semester but the classes are full and so is the class I am currently enrolled in (Math 40).

I had the sorriest instructor on earth for Math 20, I don't even see how they.....well never mind, she knew her math, but she did not care to help us out any. After dissecting her background, she actually works in the astronaut field so I know she must be advanced in math. She just never return our questions in time, if at all. I had a nightmare last week that I went on line to see my grades and the grade was a G. Yes I said G. I called the school crying and they told me that that is how bad I failed. I am stressing too bad, I am ready to graduate and go.

I was never good in math, I always excelled in English class because I performed very well when it came to writing essays.

Cool, because everyone wants a arm and a leg. Can't afford that since gas crippled me.

I will be glad when this class is over. And will be sorry when the next one starts.

Meya, I can help you with anything but math, so sorry. However, if you email me, I will send you a good website that has been helpful for me. I'm currently taking college algebra, so I feel your pain.

Charonh, I admire your ability to go to school and take care of your kids at the same time. I hope you don't mind me asking this but who takes care of your kids while you're not at home? Is there a family that's helping you out? You always to keep your kids within your family so they will know the importance of spending time with their family.

No I do not mind your asking, my sister and mother keep them for me, otherwise I would not be in school. I have trust issues, especially when it comes to my babies. I plan to keep it this way until they begin school, which will be next year for my daughter (Thank God) and two years for my son. I have been their only caregiver since birth (until recently when I went back to school) and wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks for your admiration :innocent:.

Hello everyone, I am currently a Criminal Justice major with hopes of graduating next fall (2009). It's pretty hectic since I have two little ones (ages one and four), but very rewarding. I absolutely love the college atmosphere, but am ready to graduate and get into my field. I would like to become a probation officer while attending law school at night after getting my undergrad degree. I, too, am not looking forward to paying my student loans after I graduate, but it comes with the territory. Intitially, I had planned to work while I was in school and pay on them so I would not graduate with a trunk load of student loans, but two pregnancies later, doing so became impossible.

Ok, the book has an example for Using the addition Method on an Inconsistent System. I got to the end (with an answer) but do not know how to graph it. The books says the graphing will be "inconsistent" ie. I assume no solution or Infinitely many solutions.

4x + 6y = 12
6x + 9y = 12

So, this is how I worked the problem out. I elliminated x in the first equation by 3 and the second equation by -2,

4(3) + 6(3) =12(3)
6(-2)+ 9(-2) =12(-2)

12 + 18 = 36
-12 -18 = -24
0 = 12

I see that there are no solutions for the value of x and y right? Now here is the problem, how in God's name do I graph 4x + 6y =12 and 6x + 9y =12? :worried:

I don't even know where to start or where to draw the line. If I am not mistaken, I know that they should run.....................forget it, I will just wait for you to come back. Thanks for answering me.

OK, where are all the members who said they has completed math 20 (intermediate algebra). Well guess what? I had finally experienced the worst grade in history. I received a 3.9 out of 10 on my quiz because I am having the most difficulty in graphing equations. I have not graphed anything since high school. My instructor is getting on my last nerve because she does not even respond back to us until 4 days later. I don't think she is cut out for the cyber class. The lowest grade was 0 and the highest was 5 out of 10.

She had the nerve to ask us to call her, when I called her, the first thing I thought about was Orchard bank cs. I could not understand nor hear anything she said. I do know she was telling me to visualize what she was saying.....6= 2y + -1/3x..wonk wonk wonk, bolacka axis.... count dee spa-zeah rrrrrright..wonk wonk! I almost slammed the phone in her face. I just told her, "Professor, I would rather read the book over, you just made it worser, Goodbye!" I am going crazy over here, but yet and all, I love math

what ? if you give me the actual problem I can probably help you solve it. I'm a game design major about to finish (hopefully land a dream job at EA) but we will see.. Have you tried purplemath.com ? that site has good tutorials... and I think the worst grade ever is actually 0/10 :)
