hodgebutt's review: Callout Comment I got this card about a year ago with a 1k CL, which was increased to 2k after just 6 months. it doesn't have any rewards or anything like that, but it also doesn't have any annual fees or ugly aprs. nice, solid credit card for beginners... TU was in low 600's when I was approved

Just What I Am Looking For!! User Icon on 2008-06-16

Remarks Is this card listed as a "credit builder?" I usually have luck with cards like that... I am trying to rebuild my credit but when I get declined the inquiry lowers my score and and I back at square one... My transunion is 583... Or at least that is what privacy matters credit monitoring is telling me... I will think about applying... Thanks for the info.!

Remarks Applying for more cards will not help your score. The more cards you apply for the more it hurts your score. Just keep making your payments on time, keep your utilization low and you will be alright.

Remarks First here is what Fg estimated:

This MasterCard offer is issued by RBS National Bank. This card is intended for consumers, or "personal use" with a good to perfect credit history. APR's may vary among applicants, however the lowest standard APR is 8.49% and may be as high as 12.49%, depending on your credit worthiness*.

Based on the FICO score recommendation, applicants should have a great credit record. A FICO score of at least 716 is recommended for a higher chance of approval for the Charter One Platinum MasterCard, but is not required. There are a number of other factors that this issuer may also consider when making decisions for approval.

I think you would want to hold out like hjm331 said. Some of these cards are judging us by geographic or demographic areas. I am happy for the reviewer of this card, but it does not guarantee you an approval. Reject the love button before you regret it... Lol.

Remarks I agree with Meya & HJM... Dont apply... Besides I hate Charter one bank... They tried to put one over on me with my old checking accout with them which I had to close. I wouldnt deal with C1 if it were the last credit card or bank on the earth.
