brian23's review: Callout Comment Come on people. Let's be real, if you had the prime credit rating to apply for a top lender, you would have. 1st of all, I am in the same boat as the rest of you, and I was very sure to read all the fine print before signing up (and you know they do disclose that information when the card comes in the mail). Yeah, the start up fees suck, but its a small price to pay for actually having a credit card that's in your name. Yeah, I had trouble in the begining getting a hold of a CSR, but that's why I prefer to do everything online. I don't hate this company at all. They give you a second chance at rebuilding your credit when no other company out there would. And yeah, the monthly and CLI increase sucks, but at least they give you an increase every 6 months at a consistant amount. To be honest, I think this is a great card for those with sub prime credit and want a second chance at rebuilding there credit history.

Remarks Could definately be a good card for the right person. that's why this site rocks. my [Edited] applied for the card when I qualified for cards like orchard, cap1, hooters, etc.

i believe in buyer beware and that you should read the fine print, but I still feel bad for people that don't know what they are getting themselves into.

also, you have to admit, their fees are downright predatory. I understand they are taking a risk for extending subprime credit but they charge waay more then enough to cover the risk, and charge the same fees regardless if you have a 600 FICO or a 400 FICO.

also, $12 a month for maintenence fees... Lol... The longer I write this comment, the more I dislike the card. the truth is, there are better options out there, even if your score is low enough to go for this card. one that comes to mind is TRIBUE. it's also by first bank of delaware, but (in my oppinoin) has much better terms.

Remarks Ok, very true I have to agree. But, the tribute card is offered through Compucredit Corp which I have a very bad past with them. The past was so bad that I wrote letters to the BBB and AG on them. I finally got everything I wanted out of them, but there customer service in India is still a nightmare. I actually have to agree with you on the fees, they are outrageous. I am starting to love this site, was reading all the great reviews on the hooters MasterCard, applied online, and got an instant approval. I actually might have to close this account.

Thanks for the feedback!
