cbales59's review: Callout Comment I applied for this card on 3/18, and didn't get an instant approval. Received a letter the following week requesting that I mail in a copy of my most recent electric bill to confirm my address. I called their application status number the next week, and the system let me know that my app was under manual review. I called in again last week because it seemed like it was taking a while, and the system said I'd be notified in writing within 30 days from my application date. I assumed this meant I'd be denied, so I called again today and was informed that I was approved! I have no idea why it would take almost a month to review a pretty simple credit card application.

When I applied, my scores were:

Transunion: 726

Experian: 708

Equifax: 713

Remarks They are very slow. I forgot that I applied for this card, they sent me a denial letter nearly 2 months later. That is a long wait for a denial especially if you were waiting for an answer.

Remarks When I applied they told me that I would have to wait 10-20 days to find out if I was approved or not. I had called and applied. I have heard a few times that they do ask for a recent bill to be faxed to them. Do you know what your APR is and your CL yet?

Remarks I don't know my CL or APR yet, but I'll post them when I find out.

I only have one other card through Bank of America, with a $2400 CL and an 18% rate. I'm not too concerned with the rate. I pay it off monthly so I figure if I'm going to use a card for convenience, why not earn some decent rewards?

I'm expecting a CL of around $2,000 with an 18%-20% rate.

Meya, if I were you I'd file a complaint. I'm not sure that it would do anything, but keep in mind that under Reg B financial institutions HAVE TO mail denial letters within 30 days of the original date of application.

Remarks I got approved for this card over the phone last month and they instantly told me my CL of $5500 and APR of 0% for 6 months on purchases and balxfers after that 9.99% IDK if it was fixed or not... But I'm really loving this card and cant wait till I have enough reward points or whatever to redeem!!! :)

Remarks For some crazy reason Chase likes me. They've never declined me, but I've only applied for two of their credit cards. Even so, my scores weren't top notch. But it was a LOOONNGGG wait, just to get the card. I did find out pretty quickly, though, that I was approved. It wasn't instant, but within a matter of days.

Remarks Chase seems to love me as well. I have a checking account with them and two credit cards with them.
