debtor00's review: Callout Comment I can really relate to the reviewer who said ding dong orchard is dead. I had the same party a little while back. I will give it to them, they were the one's that heard my cry when no one else would. The 59 dollar fee really was reasonable at the time, compared to all the other rebuilders out there, but they just wouldn't grow with me. By the time I canceled I had sssslllllooooowwwwllllyyyy gone from 300 to 800 limit with no signs of ever breaking 1k in sight or of removing that $59 dollar fee!!! So finally I just snapped. I hadn't had a balance on the card in almost a year so I just threw fear of letting go of my oldest account to the wind and canceled it. It felt GREAT!!! My rebuilder cards went 1. Orchard (initially 300). 2. Cap 1 (initially 300) 3. Direct merchants (Initially and still 600, but at least no fee so I can sock drawer it) 4. Newport news (initially 250) 5. Spiegel (initially 250) 6. Target (famous 200 limit) 7. Macys and then once I got in the low 600s HOOTERS broke the ice!!! I hope this helps any newbie looking for easier approvals to get. I think I took a pretty good route. I avoided those outrageous fee cards like snap, first premier, aspire, etc. I think the approval rate is just as good for poor credit on the cards I just listed without the too too too too toooooo terrible fees (there will be fees though). Orchard is great to start out with because the af is only 39-59 dollars, but once you've used them RUN.

Remarks Well, I have a Direct Rewards card, so I guess I inadverantly have an Orchards. I don't know how I managed to escape getting one of these guys. I do remember they use to send us mail like crazy, and the temptation was always there. Now I'm glad we never caved.
