sethatco's review: Callout Comment HSBC is just a cheap British bank. $1,000 limit and 1 year old today. I spoke with the credit department about getting a CLI, 45 minutes of fighting got me a whooping 500. It is my intention to put all HSBC cards in the draw and use them as needed. 3 CBs at 700 or better they are making it very difficult for customers who pay their bills on time every time in full each month to get CLI's

Remarks HSBC cards are deserved to get sockdrawered and only use them to help out with utilization. However, I really like my BB store card which gave me a $300 CLI without spending a cent on it.

Remarks 300 is decent but nothing to write home about. I have the Rewardzone card and store card

RZ:1000

BB:1000

I said to HSBC with all 3 CB score of 700 no late, charge offs or anything negative that is the best you can do is that, its an insult. "We are a conservative lender" They are a joke as is all there cards.

I Need Another CLI From Them!!! User Icon on 2008-03-18

Remarks I received one 600 dollar increase on this card (HSBC Cash or Fly MC) to a current CL of 1350 dollars up from an initial limit of 750 dollars. I have made many requests online for another increase. What is the number that you called so that I can speak to real, live person???

Remarks I am not sure how it works for everone, however I asked for CLI on the website. Later in the night I got an email telling me to call customer service and then was trasfered to credit services. Be warned if it gets to CS they will do a hard pull from either EQ or EX. Good luck!

Remarks Meya they are cheat because they gave anyone with a pulse or credit card, so now like other banks they sol because of defaults and charge offs.

Remarks I decided to call up and close my HSBC platinum. They talked me into keeping it. They gave me an increase of 100 dollars no charge for the increase. I may wait until June and try it again... Maybe I can milk more out of them... Doubtful though. I will see what happens.

Remarks I applied for this card on Saturday and was approved for $3k online. It wasn't instant because they wanted to verify my identity so I had to answer some security questions and was approved 5 minutes later after checking my application status online.

The reason why I applied for this card is because I was using their pre-approval tool and they offered me this card along with 0% percent interest for 12 months on purchases and balance transfers. I was looking for a BT offer with a decent offer and this is sufficient as it will save me some money along the way. I don't know which CRA they pulled but will update later.

I haven't received the card yet as it usually takes a week for me to receive the card. I also like how this card gives me 1% cashback on all purchases so it's definitely a good deal all around.

Comment #2000, we have come a long way!

Remarks Sorry, that was supposed to go in the credit card reviews section. That's what happens when you're trying to work while under the weather. Lol

I would appreciate it if my comment above was deleted.

Thanks
