I read all the articles on storecard approvals without a hard pull so I tried. Needless to say at checkout right before it was time to pay a preapproval popped up! My limit displayed on screen $500. I also tried this trick with Express (also received $500) and J Crew and it worked but i didn't accept the J Crew offer. My scores are @ 620-670 depending what bureau they pull from. Glad to be an angel....

Do you have a link to such an article? I've never heard of the shopping cart trick and have no idea what that is. I have never been given any type of pre-approved offer at the register but lots of stores try to get me to apply for a card.
