loveinlifenkc's review: Callout Comment First time, even second time they declined me I understood. Been rebuilding for 9 months. I have a Discover / Orchard/ Capitol One/ Penny's/Amazon/Walmart- all paid on time. They pulled Equifax- score is 725 ish- no baddies. Lady stated I didnt have enough credit history. Also should mention I have a checking account with BOA (in great standing) and a savings account (2G's). I wont be trying with them again.

Remarks Depressing! For what it is worth... Bank of America is being challenged related to various banking activities and are likely being conservative at this time. Have a similar card by starting with a secured card and then working my way over to unsecured. They have refused to increase my CL for 3 years. My scores finally reached the high 700's and they won't move. Truth, I will likely kick BofA down the road. I find this really frustrating since you are a BofA customer.

Remarks It wont be too much longer and their credit card portfolio will be sold off to Elan Financial, a subsidiary of US Bank, Bank of America is in hot water over subprime mortgages, they are finding any reason not to approve anyone! Just wait until Elan takes over their portfolio and try again! You might be suprised! ;)

Remarks You mentioned rebuilding...From my own experience, and others I've talked to, if you have a bankruptcy on your record you will be automatically declined. My Bk was discharged in 2003 and I have Citi, Discover, Amex and other store cards all with low utilization. BofA declined me because of my BK.

Remarks THey can pretty much kick rocks far as I am concerned. I am sure I can get plenty other cards if I wanted them. I must be stuck on stupid to keep applying with them. Jokers. No BK on my record but she did ask why the gap in my credit history. I just started rebuilding and want to dump a few subprime cards.

Remarks I have never had any problems being approved for any credit product from Bank of America, as a matter of fact they call me every so often to ask me if there is anything they can do for me.

Remarks From experience and a former employee of Bank Of America you dodged a bullet with this one. They are a horrible company the only reason I have a card with them is because I am locked into the employee rate of %1.9 for the life of the card... cant beat it.
