derek1061's review: Callout Comment I wasn't approved initially but called for recon and was told I can be approved if I agreed to close my Slate credit card. They closed my Slate and opened the Freedom with the same credit line $2,000, and a much lower APR at 14.99%. 0% APR on balance transfers for 12 months, and 0% APR on purchases for 6 months. Credit scores at time of approval are Ex: 661, TU: 679, EQ: 657.

Remarks Congratulations!!! Chase Freedom is great rewards card. It also has everything the Slate card has as well.
I've been very pleased with my Chase Freedom! I opened the account in 04/08. It started out as the perfect card with rewards as well. They changed it to Freedom in 2009. They've also got great customer service in my experience. My APR has remained the same low 8.9% since I opened the account.
