I applied for this card in April of 2003, and they gave me a $750 CL Used it for buying house appliances and what not, and currently paid off a $125 purchase i had made this year in february (2011) and haven't used it ever since. My plans are to ask for a CLI in the next 4 months and see what happens because they haven't increased my limit. I'm planing on buying a refrigerator from them but we'll see how things go. I'l give it a 8 of out 10. They do send some coupons once an a while. Trasunion: 700 Experian:688 Equifax:691

Lowe's is a good card. I had their card in 2003 with $250 limit that was charged off in BK. I reapplied in 2007 once I was back on my feet and my CS was avg. 700 and I was given a $500 limit. Was surprised I was even approved. Was very fortunate indeed. I've always paid my balance within 5% and now my CL is $3900 and I've never asked for an increase. My balance is $225. But I have many other GE cards so that may help. GE has been very good to me.

Well its not a recent opened card I opened it in 2003 and haven't given me a CLI since, But WOW thats a BIG CL. Congratulations! and yes GE money bank has been more than nice to me I just applied for a Chevron Visa credit card issued by GE and got approved for a $2,250 CL.

Congrats on the Chevron card. nice CL.
I'm sure if you request a CL increase with Lowe's you will get one. I've had to do that with Sam's Club and Meijer and neither were a hard pull against my credit and both gave me an instant CL increase over $500

WOW @MajtykaMadness you were so right I just asked for a limit online and now my CL is $4,750!! Thank you very much for the tip.
