not567card's review: Callout Comment All they care about is fees and punitive interest rates.  They will not work with you to resolve an issue.  You have to call in and escallate the issue, still without satisfactory resolution.

I applied to Barclaycard when I bought an iMac.  They put me on the wrong card.  I didn't realize it was the wrong one until I contacted customer service.  When I offered to send back my gift card in exchange for getting the card I wanted (the deferred payment), they wouldn't work with me.  Many other companies are much more willing to work with customers.  I have had great luck with USAA, Capital One and others.

Stay away from Barclaycard.  One thing gets messed up, they will not work with you and they will push their fees holding up the card holders agreement.

Remarks Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I personally won't do business with them (and HSBC, RBS Citizens, Bank of The West, BBVA Compass, TD Bank, Harris Bank) because they are foriegn-owned.

Would you mind sharing how long you have had the card, which bureau they pulled at the time of the application and what your credit line is?

Also, have you closed the account?

Remarks Understand your pain. I had a Juniper Card from Barclays. Closed it up after they stated I didn't utilize it enough. Welcome... you may qualify for up to a $10,000 CL. In truth it ended up with a $1,250 CL and then the CL was reduced to $500. Told them to put their bank where the sun didn't shine. Wasted a hard pull at the CB. Also, ColoNative made reference to a list of banks to watch out for. He is right on. The RBS Bank went on the chopping block last week so who knows where they will end up. I have had good luck with HSBC but, most folks have NOT so I would stay away from them too.

Remarks I've also heard people usually don't get high enough credit lines for the computer purchase price.
