tramik's review: Callout Comment Applied for this card and was denied due to non-resident?? Funny, thought most bank cards were out of town, why should this one be any different? Also, took about three weeks for decision, imagine that!!

Remarks Do not take the reason of that decision seriously, that's not the reason obviously. If you can provide some more information of you credit history, many people here can show you the "real" problem.

Remarks Non resident as in not a permanent resident of the USA or of a state that does not have a US Bank?

Lots of regional banks are like that; if you do not live in a state with branches they will decline you. 5/3, National City, PNC and Zions are examples of that.

Remarks When I applied for this card it took about 3 weeks for a response. I wish I could post the denial letter to show you all that it was a shock to me also. My scores are, ex:735/ eq:740/ tu: 729/ so it was rather mind boggling to receive such an answer like that. In the past I have been denied before with low scores, late pymts, ect... But non-resident ??? I live in michigan, so what?? Doesn't mean I can't afford or pay my bills at all!! Anyway, that bank can keep their card just been pre-approved for a discover more card!!
