yes and for people who have temptations to gamble without control should never ever go into a casino. Its only people who have control and the means to walk away.

I suppose some of us just can't resist the challenge. I'm not good at games of luck (and skill, in this case), so I choose the safe way out. I feel that setting a limit in terms of money and frequency is the right approach. With the increase in popularity of online gambling, it becomes even harder to resist the temptation.

That is the perfect way to gamble. I also do a similar approach. To me it is entertainment and I always set a cap of what I am willing to lose.

I go to the casino once a year with my best friend. It's something we have done since we finished college together. I usually end up taking about $50 with me and sometimes I'll bring home a few hundred and other times I will lose it all. It's just something that is fun for us to blow off some steam each year.

If I go to the casino, I take 25 bucks. That's all I will spend. I work too hard to just throw that money away. I think it is fun going but I don't go often. I don't ever expect to win either.

Unfortunately, some people get addicted and it sure tears their personal finances up. Have a neighbor who works really hard and then goes to the casino only to lose it all and then some.

I have been to casinos a total of 5 times in my life. I came out ahead on average, but it isn't something I make a habit out of. It's just a good way for me to unwind sometimes.

I would definitely say you were one of the few, but that is a great story to hear.

I am probably one of the few who has been to Vegas and spent a total of ten bucks! (And that was on the penny slots.) My friend joined a roulette table, sticking to the 50-50 bets, and I was shocked to see black come up something like 15 times in s row. That says it all really.

I'm surprised to see casinos even brought up as a topic under the investment category. Even the best professional players lose - it's part of the process. Might as well bring up lottery tickets as a way to increase your wealth.

Gambling as an investment is a horrible way to invest. I mean, if you have a lot of money to throw away, go for it. I like to gamble from time to time, but it's for fun.

My advice is to stay out of casino's if you don't have extra money. Don't bank on winning big. I go to the casino a couple of times a year. It's fun, that's all.

I would completely agree with the advice against gambling. It should only be consumed for entertainment purposes and never used as an investment.

When I go to the casino, I go only looking to have a good time (and sometimes dinner). I never go with expectations and always go with only cash that I intend on loosing (yes, loosing). Of course, I have walked away a couple times with more than I came with, but I am still probably at a break-even between what I won and what I lost. I generally take only $40, after that's gone, i am gone. As soon as I get ahead $10, I leave.
