sethatco's review: I got this card, simply for the fact that it does not charge a typical 1-3% foreign transaction fee. I admit the annual fee is high for a card that only offers thank you points but if you travel extensively this card pays for its self in 1 trip out of the country. I am not a huge fan of Citi, I have a sears store card and a few other gas branded affinity cards, given the current credit environment there are only a handful of cards not looking to take you to the cleanwea for buying things overseas.

Congrats! Appreciate knowing that there are other cards that work for foreign travel in addition to American Express. Also, thanks for the heads up on foreign transaction fees. Great CL and apr.

Amex is a joke, look at your statement again. They not only charge a hefty fee but many times the card winds up being declined. I no longer consider taking AMEX to Europe its a joke and a card whos time has come and gone!

Congrats on your approval. Going back through some of your reviews, it looks like you already had three Citibank cards. Did you close any of them or do you have four Citibank cards now?

Citi actually closed the Diamond Amex out because they no loner offer it and I didn't really use it much. I am not a big fan of Citi but they are one of a few banks that actually offer transaction free purchases abroad. People do not realize how fast it adds up!
