I've applied for this card 4 times this year. Denied even after a reconsideration letter they said no. However, my brother open a card for me with myself as an AU. After one month, it's showning on my credit report. I was really surprised at this because of the new FICO 08. Anyone hear of this? CapOne is a great card. I have 0% APR for one year., and I'm responsible for the the payment...

YES, not all banks are reporting accounts with auth users just on primary cardholders bureaus. It really depends on the bank and their reporting policy. I happen to know Cap One reports on all cardholders, whether the applicant and all auth users. Over time, it will help your score, just be sure that whoever uses the account, that it is never late, or overlimit. Keep utilization at 35% or less at statement cycle. Then, you can apply for your own account if you wanted, maybe about 1 yr to 18 mos.

Any bank that asked for the authorized users SSN and DOB are usually going to report on the auth's CR... Alot of banks are shying away from that but Cap1 still does... I added my wife onto my new Visa points card and they asked me for her SSN and DOB.
