yoyo11's review: Callout Comment Well,... I bank with them so I tried. Chatted with the lady on line and she said that I have to be declined a card to be offered the $99/500. It takes about 7 days to get the offer in the mail... Well i've tried right away and was declined for this card.

they did however offered the regular secured Visa... I'll take it.

Remarks That's a start!

you can actually go as high as $10,000 if you have some spare cash.

think about it..

after 9-12 months, when they release your money... You still enjoy the $10,000 credit limit.

i'd say go as high as you can.

and there's only a 29 annual fee, which is much much cheaper than the other subprime banks

Remarks I was, too. No offer, nothing. And yet they're still sending me the pre approvals for their cards. :/

Remarks The only thing they are going to offer me is a better way to keep more money into my checkng account. Maybe this is the reason! Hummmmm! Oh well,.

Explain Term 99/500!sparecashmeans? User Icon on 2008-06-29

Remarks If U pay $29 or any annual fee, it's really not free. Why would the CL go up as far as $10 if they make you pay an annual fee? That means U are more of a risk to them, that's why they roll U over to the AF card, so why would they "up" the limit for that person?

Why do u call it free cash? What does 500 stand for?

99? When would BofA offer that & is that only specific to Bof A?

ANYone tried the TRIP rewards?

Pls Explain Mark's Comments? User Icon on 2008-06-29

Remarks Why would anyone be given 10K for a secured card, if that is what is being inferred here, by "they keep your $"... WHat/How much of your $ do they keep? Is that returnable or is it a wash, that's for them as a profit off of you?> So HOW is it that U can benefit according to his comment that U will get as high as $10K for a secured CC!? That sounds unbelievably hard to believe...

Also, which BofA card do u guys think is the best card to apply for? For the most rewards?

They all seem so stingy w/ their points, 1 point for $1.

That will take forever to accumulate any pts for a trip/airline!???

Discover offers a Biz miles, 2 miles for $1. For travel, restaurants purchases... ANyone have any experience w/ that or applying to that card?

Also, can u tell me what is your actual INSURANCE coverage for Travel Accident/when flying, taking trains, etc...

The BofA site nowhere outlines that out at all {like Citibank does sometimes, I don't know if Chase does, do they? Citi specifically states that Travel Accident/Dismemberment coverage insurance is up to 1 mil. Amex is usually only up to $100K for their direct card offers. Unless u pay extra premium price for their multiple offerings of insurance coverages. }...

Getting back to Bof A's coverage--- When u click on on the [Mastercard Plus, or whatever it is, ] that is in highlights - it is QUITE vague in its upper limit insurance coverages, no max is mentioned whatsoever-- car insurance, etc...

purchase protection/guard.

ANyone have their actual Program details on hand, terms+conditions/disclosures ? Can u pls look up all of the insurance coverages for me & report back here?

AND

or send me an email direct as well, so I know when to check this site again!!! W/ the proper link...

I just stumbled onto this one..

Remarks The best card offered by BOA currently is their "Americard" credit card. It offers 1.5 pts for every dollar spent as long as you are able to maintain a checking account with them for a full year. It's pretty easy actually since they offer a checking account that doesn't have any monthly fees attached to it. I think it's the best rewards program in the business right now.
