hammer23's review: Callout Comment I applied for this card 12 months after my BK discharge and was approved instantly for a $750 credit line, 21.24% rate and $39 annual fee. They hard pulled EFX with a 612 score at the time. HSBC has been fair to work with over the last year, at the 10 month mark my credit limit was increased to $1,050. I use this card for the majority of my Best Buy and dining purchases and have managed to rack up $50 in Best Buy certificates over the last 12 months. I plan on keeping this card for a while and will post again after I call to negotiate the annual fee / credit line with HSBC.

Remarks Congrats! This card seems to treat users well. HSBC is shy on credit line increases. You did well. HSBC has done well by me.

Remarks Tried for a CL increase today with them, received this back:

"We are writing to you in response to your inquiry regarding your Account
ending in XXXX issued by HSBC Bank Nevada N.A.

We apologize for any inconvenience regarding your credit limit increase
request. At this time, HSBC has made a business decision not to grant credit
limit increases. Unfortunately, we do not have a date when the program will
resume. You are welcome to check back with us periodically for the
availability of credit limit increase requests in the near future.

You are important to us and we appreciate your business.

Sincerely,

Deeksha

Remarks Oh and they refuse to budge on the annual fee, so we're talking 1 year with them at a low $300 credit limit for $59 fee. HSBC seems to not want me at least as a customer anymore. Best of luck everyone else..
