SCRIBES :upset:

Nothing is growing up right, I tried bellpeppers and onions and not a &%$*!@ thing grew but little flowers and grass. I knew this was going to happen that is why I only planted two things to see what will be the outcome. I am going outside with an axe and cut everything in my yard. :upset: :upset: :upset:

*blushing deeply* Well, thanks. :D My fiancee is rather proud of the fact I'm taller than MOST of the people in Indonesia. You're not far off, either. I love to cook, I love to write, and...I guess I love the outdoors if that means the beach, or the water. Not too high on forest life, spiders and all that, you know. :D

Uhhh ohhhh! Looka heya, lookaheya, we got a dime piece on the board. Scribes get down with ya bad self. Watch Out Now!!! Don't hurt no body, you look pretty handsome there.

You know what, you look the way I sort of described you, and you look like a great cook, writer, and the type of person that just like to enjoy nature itself. I may be wrong, but that is my visual of you.

Ps, if you get no feed back, jealousy is in the house.

Not bad for an amusement park more than 130 years old, eh? :D

More pictures of you would be nice too, especially anything at the beach.

Shi.....Ops, I almost violated the board. What the heck I look like wearing a bikini? All you will see is the front cups because my flabs will hide the rest. Nooo way, but other pics, no problem I was thinking about updating my profile anyway. Wife can't kill you, I am just lil sis (or whoever is older) from FG, you signed up with another family when you signed up here so, THAT'S THE FACTS!
:fun: :fun: :fun:

Put some pics up bro, it does feel a whole lot better when you can see who you are chatting with. Just don't put up a pic with you wearing a thong, cape, and go-go boots. Haaaaaaaaa! jk

Great idea. More pictures of you would be nice too, especially anything at the beach. :D Ahem! Oh would my fiancee be killing me right now. Cedar Point here in Ohio is famous for flower designs they've done from the ground. You can take an aerial view of the park and see just how beautiful and kept they make them. Fancy colors too. I'll try and snag some pictures. :D

I have a family of five and I am not doing the van thingy. I have to step down from the Toyota family because I can not afford theirs. I know gas is going to be higher, but since I can not control the pump prices, I just have to work it out some way or another.

This goes to show you how much I knew about planting, but I was sort of skeptical about the way he poured the seeds in thoguh....lol. I really hope this works out scribes. I am going to take pics and upload them to my profile if they do something.

An Enclave?! Are you nuts?! Do you know what the gas mileage will be like?! The cost of filling that thing alone will, oh forget it. You're hopeless. :D As far as planting goes, I'm really careful. I go a seed at a time, I do not scatter. Placement is so important to me. One day I'd like to make a flower sculpture like they do at parks.

Replied by Meya on topic Thanks you two, I will

Thanks you two, I will take your advice. Scribbler, there was no frost here last year around this time, weather was in the 50's - 70's during my growth and I waterd in the evening every other day. My brother dug holes in the ground and poured all the mustard greens in one pick drop, I did not know they were to be scatterd out so we had to turn the dirt. I just don't understad why the sugar peas grew 4 foot flowers and they was all twisted up. I am going to do exactly what you said to do this weekend.

We could plant a spark plug here and have a Ford Escort by season's end.

Scribes, leave me alone. I knew once I came in here you were going to say something to have me laughing my behind off. Mail me some of your dirt, I want to plant a Buick Enclave!

I was just thinking some more there, Meya. Don't give up hope! I used to kill everything I touched in the garden, and you learn through experience.

And if you run out of fertilizer, just visit Washington D.C. Lots there. :D

We had a frost warning just last night so that's why I always hold off until May. As long as I've lived in Ohio, there's never been snow in May. :scared: Okay, that BETTER not have jinxed me. *knocks wood* There. :D

As to them not growing well, there's also such a thing as watering too much too. That can be as bad for some plants as underwatering them. Spindly stems sounds like a lack of light to me or it can be overcrowding. When it says on the pack to thin them out to a couple of plants, it means it. :fun: Otherwise there's not enough goodness to go around between the soil nutrients and water. Better to have a few strong, healthy plants than half a dozen that are too weak to produce good fruit.

Prepare your soil again this year with a good load of fertilizer worked into it before planting, keep it well weeded and allow plenty of room for the plants to spread. I think you'll do fine if you take care in selecting the right plants for the spot they'll be occupying. Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes. :)

Replied by scribbler on topic Meya, did you have a

Meya, did you have a late frost at all after you'd sowed the seeds? Sometimes that's all it takes to stop them even from germinating. It could be a number of things. Have you planted in an area suited for them? For example, if it needs full sun, did you put it in a patch where it could get that?

Two months late is a bit too much wishful thinking, I fear. This time round why not try buying plants for your tomatoes and bell peppers and putting them in instead? That'll give you something to watch progress fast and you can sow seeds for other things. Chances are your seeds either got washed away with heavy rain, froze or the birds got them.

Well, a lot depends on the soil. Take a shovel out to your favorite digs, and pay attention to where it starts to get moist. If you have to dig more than a foot, you're going to have to do a lot of watering. Our soil here is amazing. We could plant a spark plug here and have a Ford Escort by season's end. :D

Replied by Scribes on topic I like Soundgarden, does that

I like Soundgarden, does that count? :D No seriously, I love to plant food like tomatoes, onions, carrots and radishes. I guess I have a green thumb because we always get a good abundance. I like to start first week in May, when I know for sure the Ohio cold is dead and gone. Looks like I might plant extra this season to make up for the horrendous pricing I'm facing at the store. :D
