Replied by bizz on topic I was hoping Rascal could

I was hoping Rascal could give us an update on this situation or how things are going. I just registered as a "lender" on prosper and since I forgot my password I am locked out of my account at my bank to go any furthur until tomorrow. BUT I will be making an attempt at giving a $50.00 loan on Prosper so I was wondering if Rascal had a listing up on Prosper. let me know when you get a chance. Im starting small with prosper, but OI like the idea of it and it seems legit.
Take care

Hi Rascalx

I think I have some good information for you. I just called HC Processing for you and I sort of gave them a run down of your information. HC Processing takes care of many needs, currently I am with them due to an installment account from Norditrack when I financed my tredmill 4 months ago. How I ended up beign financed through a medical company...only God knows...lol. Well anyway, the rep said for you to call them or either apply over the internet at:

https://www.hccredit.com/hcicontrols/pages/WhereCanIApply.aspx

or

1-888-750-6795

Here is where the good news comes in at, my credit has some dings and bangs in it, but I was approved for a $2900 limit with this company. Yes my scores are in the poor-fair range (623, 580, 594) so this should give you some type of courage to apply for this company. I tried searching California+Dental+Assistance for you but, the results were more for low-income families, seniors (60+), or someone who receives Medi-Cal. Try and search through your state by using Government Dental Assistance and see what your results shows you. I am so sorry to hear about your situation, and I really hope you can make it through this. I wish you the best of luck. Please keep us update and I will try to the best I can with resources for you.

Replied by Finance Globe on topic Hello and welcome in Rascalx, I

Hello and welcome in Rascalx,

I can feel your pain from here. It sounds like you don't have any real assets to secure a loan, and in this case - you will probably need collateral. Have you tried Prosper? This could be a way out for you, but I think that the process is slower than practical in your situation. I don't have personal experience with them, but it looks like borrowers are successful when their needs feel honest and worthy like yours. Any feedback from other members on Prosper would be appreciated. Here is their info on our resources page:

You may want to consider speaking with your dentist, and find out if they can work out a payment plan with you. I don't know of any dentist that would refuse one of their patient's care if it is an emergency, or a time-sensitive / urgent problem. You may also want to look into state laws about healthcare, and also think about government assistance until you get back on your feet. Other possibilities go on to emergency services, such as the American Red Cross or if you are a member, your church.

Good luck with it, and I'm sure that our other insightful members here have some other thoughts on this.

Hello all! I'll try to keep this question short but it requires some background info or else I will receive more questions than answers here :p . I desperately need help in getting a personal loan of approx. $3000. to cover a medical/dental procedure that has to be performed ASAP. I do have insurance that covers 50-80% of the cost but I still have to come up with $3000 to cover my out of pocket expenses. I am employed full-time and I make a decent wage (approx $45,000 annually) and I have a checking account, but I have no savings account or CDs or retirement income (my 401K is too small to be of any use) After my monthly bills, I have a few hundred extra dollars to work with but even if I were to attempt to save all of it, it would take me far too long to get the needed amount together and it is imperative that I get this medical procedure done now. The problem is simple but infuriating - I have a deplorable credit score and NOONE - NO loan office, bank, credit union - it seems like I've tried them all! - NOONE will give me any financial assistance because of how bad my credit is. My credit score was never great to begin with but even despite some past issues, it was passable (600-650) but a year ago, I went through an UGLY divorce (read hostile exwife lol) and now have a house foreclosure on my credit report as well as a car repossession. Even though I have legal paperwork to show that the judge awarded my ex the house and car, the creditors refuse to remove my name from the loans as my name was (and is still) on the dotted line. So now my credit is absolutely hopeless to the point that I cannot get any financial aid, loans or credit cards. I also can't get any hospital or doctor to let me make payments on my procedure because of how poor my credit is. I have nothing of value enough to sell or secure $3000 dollars worth. I rent an apartment and don't own property. I can't do a title loan on my car (just the thought of that makes me shudder lol) because I still owe money on it. Check advances (I've done those in the past - they suck as bad as title loans  ) don't net enough money to be helpful. My parents and friends do not have the ability to help me. So short of buying a monkey and hitting the streets with a tin cup ;) , I am out of ideas and I need to figure out something soon before my health deteriorates even further. I am hoping someone here has ideas, thoughts, advice or suggestions on what I can do to help with this VERY frustrating situation. Thanks and I look forward to seeing y'alls responses. :D
