I've never heard this before... What does split mean? And I used to pull mine a lot with freecreditreport.com

Meya, does MCK let you pull your EX report daily? I use freecreditreport.com and I can pull my EX report every 24 hours if I wanted to but no need for that. As we know all, pulling your credit report(s) too many times causes them to split which is a real pain to clean up.

Nope, once per month. They used to let you pull every 24hrs a long time ago but, I was scared of having my credit report split or mixed. :scared:

how would I know my credit score? i have an hsbc card.

Go to Mycreditkeeper.com it is $9.99 if you have an HSBC card. I know it was advertised by Orchard Bank, since they are the same bank, I am pretty sure that credit keeper is through all of HSBC cards.

If you want to find out what your scores are, you have to buy them from myfico.com.

In order for you to get your score you will have to contact the three credit reporting agencies, TransUnion, Experian and Equifax or go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com/ . :cheesing:

Keeping in mind your free annual report does not include a score.

I thought this topic was for "when should you ask for credit limit increases". You should ask for credit limit increases with the banks or CU went you know you are a responsible paying customer with your CC and that you PAID ON TIME. Please makesure that you credit score is around 700 or better and you do not have to many inquires

I have an HSBC card for 4yrs now...don't have problems with it so far....I'm even surprised they've given me CLIs even if I didn't asked for any increase. :cheesing:

And now with the CARD Act in place, be prepared to present your past years taxes to the creditor in order to prove your income.
