To kdb030609,

The Nordstrom's Visa card doesn't provide an option to Balance Transfer, I incidentally found this out after I recieved the card and a few weeks later called to inquire. I was told by customer service they don't do balance transfers. I hope this changes though.

To Colonative,

I guess I will consider that, because in 6 months, I'll just continue to do what I've always done and pay it off each month, I normally fill up my Honda 3 times a month and pay it each time I do. Yes 21.9% is pretty steap but, I folks..I really gained a new found respect for this bank. I had to actually look at the letter 4 times to make sure it said "November 2009' effective date for Term Changes. I'm just thankful their not taking back the credit line or closing it alltogether or some foolishness like that..... Rockin35

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to add this new thread to tell everyone how impressed I am with Nordstrom. I'm not sure if it is because of Obama's new legislative changes or not.

I recieved their Nordstrom's Visa Card a few months ago and it started off with a high APR 18.9% or 19.9% one of the two,CL $5000 can't remember because I only use it for gas each month and pay it off online within a week.

Last Friday I recieved a letter from them around May 29th advising that my APR would be changing in 'November 2009' as 21.99%...thats right....almost 6 months from now. Nothing else will change, the CL stays the same, no Annual Fee. In the letter they stated that "They Value" their customers and want to provide an opportunity for them to make a decision that suits their needs etc. I thought this was exceptional given BOA, AMEX, CHASE all of these banks could care less and send out a 26 day notice (not even 30 days) from the bill cycle date about Term Changes.

Keep in mind too that after 6 months you can call them to see if they will lower you to a different APR tier (I would wait 6 months after the APR change, so May 2010). They really do try to accomdate their cardholders.

That is exceptional for a bank to give you that much notice. I would think they would lower it to entice you into keeping a balance on it. So they can charge you some interest on it. Since you Pay In Full all the time. I have a question for you about the card. Did they offer any balance transfer offer when you were approved.
