Replied by CLIFTON on topic HSBC is no longer offering

HSBC is no longer offering this card (according to their website). I called CS today and got a funky automated message stating that they could not take my call at this time. This concerns me because this card is right now my highest CL card and it is the one with the highest balance. :dumbfounded: :dumbfounded: :dumbfounded: :dumbfounded: :dumbfounded: :dumbfounded:

lmao, I know that makes you mad Bizz. They forever shoot me an Orchard secured or Orchard platinum card when I go for any HSBC cards. Bofa always tell me "Unfortunately we are no able to....blah, blah, blah." this is how I know that I am officially burnt out.

I think that one of the reasons that I received my HSBC Cash or Fly Mastercard and my Direct Rewards/Discover network card is that I do my primary banking at HSBC. Mind you, I received both cards this summer.

Replied by Meya on topic ....Capitalone will be receiving at

....Capitalone will be receiving at least an 80 dollar payment this week since I am almost at my limit. I am under the impression that paying them well before the grace period (along with my other 3 cards is a very good thing). Tommorow, I plan to put about 194 dollars down on my HSBC mastercard to bring it down to a zero balance.

That is the correct path to your credit success. I could never ask for any other way or suggestion for keeping your limits within the 35% percentile. I, on the other hand have high utilizations due to my summer vactions which I plan to pay every card off by xmas. Since cap one has snatched the covers away from my limit that I was hiding, I really have to get everyting paid because this card hold the highest utilization...$2200 balance with a $2500 limit and Orcahrd $1100 balance with a $1300 limit.
:worried:

I want everything paid for Xmas because in January 08, all of my judgemts that says "paid" will fall off my report leaving me with one cc charge off, which will fall off Aug 08, and two medical baddies which will fall off 09. I might just go ahead and pay the medical because they are only $114 and $334. I just don't want to pay and then my credit scores and status stays the same. I would rather save my money and put it towards my cards. Can I have your opinion on this issue? Ps, don't feel bad about baddies on your report because I watched nearly 60 drop off within a four year time frame

Replied by CLIFTON on topic In actuality Meya, I dont

In actuality Meya, I dont know much at all which is why I am here. I am trying to approach my credit very carefully and I have a whole lot on my report to clean up. I need to be honest with myself and I need to be honest with people who have been down this bad credit path and are in the process of taking a new road. I received my new Capitalone Visa Card yesterday. There is a 29 dollar annual fee with the 300 dollar limit on the card. I have already used the card to pay off some necissities like my MTA metro card for the week and my AT&T cellphone bell. Capitalone will be receiving at least an 80 dollar payment this week since I am almost at my limit. I am under the impression that paying them well before the grace period (along with my other 3 cards is a very good thing). Replied by Meya on topic Hello, Meya I plan sticking close

Hello, Meya

I plan sticking close to these boards because I need some help.

You are in the right place Clifton! First off, start working with your utilizations and creidt limit increases. Your scores are going to come back once the creditors add your new cards as "new accounts" on all three of your credit reports. One good thing is that Cap One is now reporting to all 3 credit reports so stay on top of them. Sounds like you already know what you are doing so feel free to share some credit stories with us. Once again, welcome to the FG crew, there is nothing like home. Oh one more thing, bookmark your calendar for the FIRST MEETING AT FG on October 1, 2007 7:00pm EST. It is going to be fun and exciting to meet all the members that has signed up.

Replied by CLIFTON on topic Hello, Meya I received a Discover

Hello, Meya

I received a Discover Direct Rewards Card a couple of months ago with an initial credit limit of 1400 dollars. I was shocked when I got the card. I have used the card and paid off over 700 dollars in purchases. Right now I have a zero balance. I also have a Premier Bank Card Master Card with a 250 dollar limit, an HSBC Cash or Fly Master Card with a 750 dollar limit, and I just got approved for a Capital One Card with a 300 dollar limit. I have received all of my cards since June of this year. My Experian Plus score as of today is 599 and I want to improve it tremendously. I plan sticking close to these boards because I need some help.

Replied by Meya on topic What I think? That you

What I think? That you are telling the dog gone truth. I guess I forever fall into the "Not You" category. I mean they are serious about rejecting the wrong people (not saying that I am better than anyone else). I am glad for those who have approvals for the card, but I am just trying to get in with the top dogs so that I can tell my starter ups good bye and thank you for all your help...lol. When I begin to apply within my two years, I may tell the ones who rejectd me during my struggles to get out of my face and if you send me another preapproval, I am going to call the police on ya....lmao

Replied by StephNY on topic I dont know Meya, I

I dont know Meya, I mean is there such a thing as a random credit grantor? I mean my sister (forgive me if she reads this) has the worst credit, a defaulted car loan, frozen bank account, utility companies collections, 2 judgements and unpaid credit cards all in the last three to five years. They are all still on her credit report. Her scores are so low she wont even tell me. She said her score is not even on the charts. I mean how bad do your scores have to be, to not be in the score range numbers. BUT for some UNGODLY reason she was approved for a Direct Merchants Platinum Visa with a limit of $1800. How is that possible? I didnt believe her until I saw it with my own eyes. There has to be some kind of system they use to grant credit, maybe a quota of some sort for people with bad credit. Like for every 100 applicants approved with good credit, 5 of them have to have terrible credit, what do you think?

Man, they will not let me get a direct rewards no matter how hard i tired. When I go through HSBC site, I cant get passed the Orchard Cards, when I go through Discover Original Site all I get is the 30 day delay with a long application number (I am in a credit rehab club, so no I did not apply lately) . I just applied for my sister and she received the direct reward discover with no problem. Well I guess that they do not like me... :worried: That's ok, I will come back even stronger when they send me a preapproval in the next 2 years when my scores are at the lovely 700's. I got their preapproval alright :innocent:
