Nice Cards to apply for

For those of you who have a vehicle the CFNA credit card from Firestone is easy to get. I went to Firestone and purchased 2 new tires and I applied for their credit card and was approved for $1600. That should look good on my credit reports with FICO. When I look at my credit report Equifax and Transunion they reports my credit limit, but Experian only report the balance. I went to the Experian website earlier and asked them to put the credit limit on my report, I'm not sure if they will because reading other message boards other people writes that Experian didn't put a credit limit on their report. Not sure if it really matters that Experian report my credit limit since they no longer a partner with FICO. CFNA offers 90 days interest free. Its a 21% interest rate. My balance will be paid off before the 90 days are over.

Oh a side note, paid it off BEFORE, at least a week, I forgot to pay about $60 off and forgot all about it, never paid late, I just didn't pay it off before the 90 days, it was like 95 days, I got charged the 26.99% rate or whatever it was for the entire time of the 90 days because of 5 damn days..

I hate to ruin your news, but firestone does NOT REPORT ANY LIMIT..

if you get $1000, and you charge $100 your over your credit to debt ratio by $100, they report only your high balance which is NOTHING but CRAP, I've had an account for 2 years, and they have never reported the limit, nor do they plan on doing it, well that is there words, so no matter what you charge your over the limit on your ratio, I am closing this card most likely because the company itself is a RIP off and overcharges on everything, they do crap service, and it does nothing but ruin your score because people think its helping them but it's not... Call them and ask them I bet they tell you to pretty much get screwed..

I got a $800 limit I charged that much and paid it off in a few months, and in 2+ years they never increased my limit once... never paid late, if anything I paid 10x more... Only good thing about the card is it can be used for emergency's but I'd never use it otherwise because it hurts your score every time.

Well, it's worth a try. I rarely hear anyone get denied for the card especially when they charge you the annual fee.

That's not true at all, I've been declined a ton of times even with cards with AF's It's just there way of getting to see if the customer is going to actually pay instead of charge max it out, and never pay a dime.

I don't mind paying a AF, as long as it's no more than $50 for at least $300.. now I don't think I would accept a AF of no more than $40 for at least $500 since I'm getting up there now..

My capital one $750 card, went from 24.90% to 4.40% not a increase but defiantly a plus or something to tell everyone about!

Anyone else been decreased on there apr recently, I was surprised too because of all the bad news I hear with peoples cards getting closed or rates jumping or limit decreases. ?

Since you have no revolving credit history, you should go to your local Best Buy store and apply for their mastercard. You most likely get approved for the Gold Mastercard which comes with annual fee but your chances of getting approved are high. Don't apply online, apply in the store because you would be able to provide identification on the spot.

Thanks- do you know about what kind of fico they require? Mine is currently 569, but the student loan i just paid off has not yet reported...so am hoping for an increase.

I suggest talking with the bank you've been with for the longest. You'll probably have to start with a secured card, due to your score. Also don't apply for anything (without profesional assistance), this will hurt your score more. What were the reason(s) you were denied for at Jared? We understand if that's too personal. Most of all right now, DO NOT apply for anything (loans, cards, etc.) without getting some tips.

I have not gotten the letter from Jared yet, so have no idea why they denied me...

I was denied by Jared. I applied online. Debating on applying for Kay. I just paid off my student loan- one big payment of $865 to pay the whole thing off. It has not posted to my credit report yet though. That is my only thing that is bad on there- I signed up for myfico scorewatch this morning and it tells me my fico is currently 569. I am hoping it goes up when the student loan payoff shows up. any card suggestions for me now or should I just wait. The Jared card is the only one i have tried for so far...

Who is the backing bank? Firestone is right by my house and I get work done their all the time. I never thought about a CC from them. What is your CS and how do your reports look (if you dont mind me asking)?

"Credit First National Association" Make sure you take a look at this first.... NOTE] CFNA will use specific credit criteria to evaluate your application for credit. In general, the following may reduce the likelihood of credit approval: prior bankruptcy, multiple major derogatory credit histories (e.g., foreclosure, repossessions, tax liens, prior charge offs, etc.), or other negative financial information.

The card itself, excluding the bonuses, offers a nice package. The Freedom card starts with a 12-billing cycle APR at 0% for “elite“ members. Standard pricing includes a 3-billing cycle 0% APR term.. After the clock runs on that initial offer, the rate will vary based on the card holder’s application information and credit history (which also determines the “elite“ vs. standard arrangements on the introductory rate). Generally speaking, variable rates tend to vary between 9.24% and 18.24.
