I have a Circuit City chase Rewards card and since they went belly up I decided to apply for a Best buy card... I needed a new laptop. I was asked if I wanted to apply for the store and master rewards and I said yes, since it was only one inquiry. I was suprised I got both of them...1,000...1,900... I want to call chase up and see if they can move me to another rewards card since my Circuit city isn't good for instore rewards... By the way I really enjoy reading everyones post in here, a lot of good info...

Congrats on your new cards... That is a nice limit to start off with especially with HSBC... And on your circuit city which is issued by chase you should change it to the chase freedom which gives cash back and rewards...!!

I was thinking of asking for that card... I wasn't sure they would... It's kinda of pointless for them to continue with the Circuit City cards...

They should have no problem consolidating that to the Chase Freedom.
I have a friend who just did the same thing, and it was done right over the phone.

I didn't know HSBC had it in them, of course you have nice scores. Maybe there is hope for this bank. Enjoy both cards, I love Best Buy. I hope they are able to keep their heads above water and survive the crisis.
