I applied for this card 2 weeks ago and got the 7-10 day notice so I thought nothing of it. On monday I got an alert from my credit monitoring that a new account was opened in my name so I check my credit creport and here it was A new account has appeared on your credit report. Here are the details of this new account:
Alert type: New Bank/Credit Card
Creditor type: Bank Credit Cards
Date of alert: 11/23/2008
Creditor name: MERRICK BANK/HOOTERS CARD

I want to thanks to Mya and Yoyo for all your inspiration and no how. Ive been doing nothing but disputing and getting my credit reports and getting it cleaned up. Thank you every one. I will use this card little by little and make sure to pay it off in full. They did not tell me what my credit limit will be but ill see when I get it.
Also when I called them about my card they had no idea what I was talking about until I started ready what was on my credit reports then they saw it and said Congrats !! Your approved

Congrads call 801-545-6705 they should tell you the limit... You will get a live person asap!

Its awesome to see people get approved for good cards like Hooters, I have applied twice and declined both times, they also pulled my Transunion bureau, I am sure that with in a year or two I will qualify for better cards, but I realize it takes time. What was your scores at the time of approval? What was your credit limit when you called to find out? Again congratulations!!!

Question on 2008-11-25
Hello everyone, this is my first post. I have been trying to get this card for a long time. The first time I tried it was about 6 months ago and I got the infamous 7-10 day message(denied). Then I tried a couple other times since then, and flat out got denied. Well, on Saturday I thought, what the heck, and tried again. This time I got the 7-10 day message again. The exact message..."Thank you for giving Hooters MasterCard the opportunity to serve your financial needs. We are processing your application and you will be notified regarding its status within 7-10 business days."
My question, is this the same message all of you have received? Im hoping I might have finally gotten this card. My Transunion score is 643, EX is 601, and Equifax is 555. Thanks all in advance. I will keep you posted.

Typical on 2008-11-25
From what I gather, a lot of people get this message, it does not mean you were declined.
You may have a lot of inquiries though, banks don't like to see that.

Welcome to the Hooter's family! I am so happy for your approval. You are so welcome for the info, but we give all credit to you because it is not easy cleaning up a report that was once damaged in the past. Congrats and keep us posted with your overall usage of the card. Like the family say, "Go for the Hot Wings."
PS, how much was your limit, if you don't mind me asking?

Congrats on your approval! You're on your way to better things. Be very disciplined with this card, keep your balance no higher than 30% and on time, every time, and you will see nice things happen

Hello every one, work and they holidays have kept me from responding sooner. Ok here we good
My credit scores are exp- 590 transunion-595 efx-555
as you can see I'm still rebuilding my credit and this card will help me get over the hump and coast into better offers very soon.
I have not called to get my limit but when I do I will let every one no. Thanks again.

Got The Card In The Mail on 2008-12-04
Ok the limit is 300 and I got a 72 anual fee that was deducted from the linit. I must sy I was expecting a higher credit limit. But ill take it because I'm still rebuilding my credit and I got my eyes on Bank of America next.

Congrats on the HOOTERS card!! When I first applied I thought I was denied too until I got the card in the mail one day with a $600 cl. I was shocked... Good luck with your credit (re)building.
