lilmama's review: Callout Comment It took over a week and a half to approve. Had to send in proof of identity, easy though because they allowed me to fax it in. $500 credit limit but 25.7% APR... YIKES! This is one of my rebuilder cards for a year, so it will hopefully get me in the door for a great APR later on. Thanks to everyone who reviewed on here, it helped me decied to apply.

Remarks Way to go and welcome to the Hooter's family. I have not heard anyone talking about their APR being lowered, I only heard members being approved with lower Apr's. Its OK, as long as you are in the door, you are all good. They do give cli's every 7th statement. I know it seems weird but this how they work. So far we only heard of $200 cli's, maybe they will change the longer we are with them, but until then, keep the balance pretty low so that you don't have to pay the high finance charge, and check to see if your annual fee is yearly or do they add it to your statement monthly. Mines is monthly, I did not know that until I had taken a good look at the statement... Lol.

Remarks It took a while for my wife to receive her card as well. This card will definitely help you, hopefully once you get established Hooters can do something about that APR. Congrats

Remarks Congrats on your approval. Remember the key to rebuilding is make sure each and every payment is on time, and keep your balance at billing at no more than 30% of your credit limit.

Good luck, and keep us informed of the overall use of your new card!!!

Take Care!

Got The Card User Icon on 2008-10-19

Remarks Thanks for all the feedback and the welcomes! I only applied once thank goodness. I got the card in the mail today and activated it already. Post b/k since 5/08 and was happy for approval. I already have a Household MC with $300 limit and the annual fee is billed yearly. And, I got a Crown Jewelers with $2,500 limit (great because no credit checks but small down payment til 6 months). I applied for a Credit One card too. The first application was denied because they couldn't contact me. My fraud alert on Experian didn't have a contact number. So they had me re-apply. Hoping for that approval too. I want to get a new car by the 4th of July next year so I think all of these will elp prove my credit. Thanks again for all the help that I researched on here. Thought I was going to have to resort to Secured cards. :)
