Went to the mall yesterday and seen a beautiful necklace that I just had to get. It felt so good knowing that I would be approved (especially after reviewing members cc reviews for Kay's) so I stepped up with pride and filled out an application. Within 5 minutes I was told that I was... NO NO NO, let me back this up, I was told, "Are you sure you only want the necklace?" OH yes sweetheart, this is all I want, then I was told that I was approved for $5,000. I tired so hard to hide my emotions, but I had to let it out. Not for sure of the APR, but I do believe it will be 22%. Yaahhhoooo!
My necklace was $600 and I plan to pay it off in 3 months and not use the card as much. Their customer service was outstanding and I do plan to return to the the store in the near future with an appointment for the Leo diamonds. They caught my eye with the sparkles and texture. Let me not go to deep, my scores at the time was 650-682 and I am not for sure which CB they pulled from. I am going to select EXP since a lot of individuals say that is where they pulled from. If I am wrong, I will update it in the comment area. My Exp has no baddies and mid utilization, Tu and EQ has one baddie left. So far so good guys, go into the store if you want the card.

You are a fool YoYo11. I am not a jewelry wearing person either. I saw a big sale 20-50% off so I went for the necklace because it was 30% off and you get 20% if you apply for the card. That gave me a total of 50% off. This is the only thing I am wearing that is jewelry. I really like it and I feel sort of sexy in it... Lol.
I am going to replace my wedding ring from them because the one I had, I lost the diamond and the cracked the ring. Yes it came from Crescent Jewels, the rip off store, but it was the best we could do back then because our credit was not that good.
OK everyone, ring on me! Urrrrf! Lol.

Wow, that is an awesome limit. This again goes to the theory that you get more limit when you apply in the store. My limit on both Kay and Jareds is $1700.

Card Came Today on 2008-10-10
I just received the card, but I still don't know who they pulled from. I have not received an alert as of yet. I am trying to add it to my "All App Statuses" but I want to add who they pulled from also. It looked like junk mail when it came because it was one sheet of paper with no terms or anything on inside of it. I guess it will come separate.

I think you all should go to Kay's. My sister applied today and she received $2,100. She went into the store and received some luv from them. I think Kay's is the number one thing smoking now, hit it up if you are out looking for someone to offer you credit instead of turning you down. I recommend this card instead of Crown Jewels any day.
Scores at the time 585-600 and about 4 baddies left on Cr. The scores were last check in mid Sept so they are probably about the same or lower.

That is a very high credit line for an instant approval. I don't think your credit scores are as half as low as you make them out to be. It may be time for you to move on to the Tier1 cards. If they started you off with $5K, then more than likely you can get regular high increases as well. Congratulations!!

I nearly grew hairs in my eyeballs when she told me this and showed me the sheet of paper (which they don't let you keep). I am thinking of doing a myFICO soon to see. I am with Mycreditkeeper again and they can only get pulled once per month.
I really do believe that Chase made it happen because the $7k private student loan I applied for is showing on my credit report as a "personal unsecured loan" not a student loan. Kay's probably tried to match it or come close to it. I am not for sure what my sister highest cc is but for her to get $2,100 is pretty good for a 1 year re-builder.
I just received a message from a member here encouraging me to go ahead with a Citi card, I am so tempted because I have no baddies on my Ex, just some high util, and that is what making me afraid to apply. It's been a while since I heard the word NO, and I think I may fall to the floor with a broken heart if I do.

Hi meya, I just wanted to say that I read all of ur post and they really do help. I was with mycreditkeeper for about a year until I found out that those are all fako scores. Equifax.com gives you 30 day free and a 3 n 1 credit report. It also includes a free FICO report for equifax. I just got approved for a kays and jared card, both with 3000$ limits

Hi Meya! I am new to FG and I have so-so/fair/pre-average credit, I am on the repair wagon with most of the members here. I recently purchased a home, about 2 months ago, and have been SCARED to get any credit LOL I also, didn't have the greatest credit when I got the home, I had almost fell out when I was approved for a home! It was the most tedious experience of my life but I had lots of diligence and patience. I had to pay down some debts and get a lot of things disputed/settled off of my credit.
Long story short, I found this site and was trying to figure out how I can get a credit card with a really nice limit other than the poor credit cards that I have... I tried for the Kay's and they approved me instantly online for $3000!! I minimized the screen in disbelief and opened it back up like NOOOOOOOO not ME??? I have no clue what to buy, or when to buy but I am very happy that it is a card worth having! Kay has beautiful jewelry and I am a LadyDon! I prob, should have put this in a PM to you huh? LOL Well heck everyone can read my story! I love the helping support I have been reading from everyone so far and just had to join in on the fun!
