cireone's review: Callout Comment SO I already have a RewardZone MasterCard and thought with the lousy CL I should try and get the store card. I read reviews that the CLs are better, No AF, and better in-store approval. SO I went to buy a cd and applied while I was there. It seemed going good because the worker was writing things on the app from the computer. Then he said that it cant approve at the moment and a letter will arrive in the mail. Ive given up on HSBC. They don't like to give CLIs and then give weird approvals (case in point: approve for the MasterCard, denied the store card).

Remarks Wait for the letter to come-in and see what the reason for the denial is. Post it in the network and we will try to help you out.

Remarks BB MC and BB store card are underwritten by 2 different entities.

My DH got BB Store card for $3k underwritten by Beneficial National and my DD got approved for BB MC by HSBC $750-

The MC seem to give ridiculous low limits even if you have a very good Fico score.

I would call and see what the reason for denial was. What is your Fico score?

Stick With What You Have.... User Icon on 2008-08-20

Remarks I agree, just stick with what you have at the moment.

I am waiting to cancel my BB MasterCard as soon as I pay off the balance next month. Had the card 2 years, only has $500 limit.

Remarks Is an HSBC company. I am not sure why Beneficial would be backing your DH's Best Buy store card, from what I understood is that it is simply HSBC that issues these, Beneficial deals mostly with mortgages and personal loans.
