I received the card and I enjoyed it for the past year right up until yesterday. I missed a payment on my card, the first time I have EVER missed a payment on ANYTHING and I received a late notice in the mail. I called to let WAMU know I had indeed overlooked their bill (in fact I'm still not sure how I missed it.) However, in reading my late payment notice I realized my available credit was $15 over my balance of $500. They had reduced my credit limit to $500 from $7,500! And they have probably filed a letter with one of the three credit reporting agencies. This could all be devastating to my credit and it could last for up to 7 years... Agggh! My wife and I have 3 credit cards with WAMU with available credit of $22,000 and we have never exceeded $4,500 in debt and right now we sit at about $2,000. It seems they were very hasty in their decision and we are considering canceling our credit cards and removing our deposits from their institution.
