After all the stories about this card, I finally broke down and applied for this card. I got the 7-10 day response when I applied. But I received the card last week. CL 500 AF None APR 23.95. The APR is high, but I usually do not pay interest.

Congrats! Did you try to get the AF waived or interest rate decreased upon activation? I would try for one of them before you activate the card.
BTW, what were you scores and which bureau did they pull?
