Now that WalMart carries groceries, quality patio furniture, and most name brand electronics, this card is very dangerous.
What is even more dangerous is that this card is as king as cash! I didn't have my debit on hand at WalMart last night and I decided to use this bad boy for the first time ever. I noticed that there was an option for cash back on the credit card screen. I was dumbfounded... This isn't a debit card. The cashier explained to me that customers with decent credit have a cash advance option with varying limits. Sure enough, I checked my account online and there is a cash credit line for $350.00!
Um, no thanks. I probably would have "capitalized" on that option years ago, but I have learned not to. I have paid dearly for such "conveniences".

I agree, it's tempting. I used the cash feature when I was really really really broke at the time. But if you don't need it, don't use it. Rockin35

It's true having that option is dangerous but guess what..
... WHAT IF...
You have a emergency and you need cash..
This is good to have even if you have to pay it back fast..
You never know.

I Noticed The Cash Offer Also on 2008-05-04
Yes, you are correct they do have cash offer availabe. Chevorn has the sme thing. I have $80 cash offer from them, but I never do the cash thingy. It carries a seperate finanace charge, and cash advance is pretty high. Good Luck, don't let the green grass fool ya!

If you are ever in an unfortuanate position and you find yourself without a dime in your pocket, you are better off putting your pride on hold and begging for money from customers in the parking lot. The last place that you want to get a cash advance from is from your Walmart card... I could go into a long diatribe... But pleae... Just trust me on this... Don't do it!

Walmart Cash Advance on 2008-05-30
Hello,
Actually the cash back feature is added to the purchase so no extra fee's are added. I have never used the feature but its there when I use my Walmart card also.
