desihunk17's review: Callout Comment I had this card for few months now... They gave me $400... And I never use this card... Not even once... I have other cards with credit limit up to $15000... I called them to ask them if they can upgrade me to their American express version of the card... But they said... I have to wait for few months... Because I have not been with them for long enough... What you guys think... Should I close it... Or leave it open... I know I am not going to use it...

Remarks Close it! They are going to tell you that story from here on out. This the reason why I closed them. They are too stingy with cli's.

Remarks I got the card a few weeks ago when I was in FL at a store. I almost lost it when the women said congrats you have been approved for 150. I laughed in her face and said thanks but no thanks I have never had a credit card or store card with that low of a limit even in college or my first store card. GEMB is cheap for some of their cards. This happens to be one of them I applied on the same day for a brooks brothers card and got it approved for 2500 after I applied for the dillards card

You Can Let Me Use It User Icon on 2008-03-27

Remarks If it's not a store you shop at reguarly, you probably don't need it. Around here in Hickville, USA, Dillards is the only store within 100 miles that carries a good handbag selection. And let's not forget their shoes... Glorious, glorious shoes. Much better than macy's

the card is an a**pain when it comes to payments though. I try to use it often and pay it right off, but it can take up to three weeks for a payment to post. Even cash in the store!!!

Cust service says it's a security thing because I'm a new cardholder and make such large payments. They say they need to get a consistent pattern b4 the posts hit immediately. that really messes up my plan to rack up on the 10 dollar gift certs for card usage. If you can't use your card cause your payment won't post then you can't get reward cert. I've gotten one freebie so far though cause of my inconvenience. That was cool.

Right now I need my bonus perks with my retail store cards, but when the day comes when I qualify for a big girl limit on a big girl AMEX card with some big girl rewards on it I'll probably retire my retail cards so that I can rack up on sky miles and hotel stays and stuff like that... Maybe ;D

Remarks I applied for their AMEX card before I got my first AMEX and they approved me for their store card. I called them the first day and canceled the card because I don't have any Dilliard stores in my area. It wasn't worth keeping it for utilization because they only gave me $150.

Remarks I don't have a Dillards in my area. If I did I would get teh card and probably charge the hell out of it because I love Estee Lauder make up.

Dillards Is Great User Icon on 2008-04-30

Remarks I received my Dillards card in November with $150... Recently I applied for the AMEX... They said it was too soon also. However, I did ask for a CLI and am now at $1000. I love Dillards... Great sales and great brands. Their clothes are classy. Their AMEX is actually a revolving credit card.
