I applied and received this card today with a $1800 limit and 10.99% +prime APR. Not the best APR or highest credit limit but hey, it is AMEX. I applied for this 4 mos ago and was denied from scores being too low. I started my credit rebuilding 1 1/2 yrs ago with a 432 FICO and now I have this ( plus a new house and other prime cards).

Congrats on the new AMEX. You are definitely one of the lucky ones that got approved for this card. Even though I have good credit cards, I still can't get approved for this card!
Well hope you enjoy your new credit card and you take care of it so AMEX can take care of you with some high credit lines!

This is a lovely card, but they will not let me have one. I was denied for this card last year, but plan on giving it a shot next year. Keep us posted on the future experiences with this card.

Porgy, have you seen Bank of America decrease CC limits? Please let me know or create a list of all the banks that you know that have decreased CL's.

I have seen BofA raise interest rates but in all the years I have been talking to people I have NEVER heard of B of A lowering a credit line

This Just Proves My Point on 2008-02-09
This is why I advocate BofA so much. Yes, they raise interest rates but who doesn't? They have to make their money somewhere. The people there just know what they are doing. You can't just decide to decrease someone's credit line while they're on vacation. How on earth are they going to be informed of their CL decrease? That is just not right. Someone has to do something about this.
on 2008-02-09 This is why I advocate BofA so much. Yes, they raise interest rates but who doesn't? They have to make their money somewhere. The people there just know what they are doing. You can't just decide to decrease someone's credit line while they're on vacation. How on earth are they going to be informed of their CL decrease? That is just not right. This card is a really good card. I have not had any problems with it. I love it when I need to go shopping for gifts and other things.
