meya's review: Callout Comment I aplied for this card around September 2007 and received an instant approval of $250. It used to be owned by World Finance Bank, but is now owned by Spririt of America. One thing I must say is that in January 08, I called in and asled for a cli and they pulled a hard inq on my report and denied my cli. There reason was "You do not have enough history nor activity on this card " Such a bummer.

Remarks Hey Meya. This bank is pretty good. I have a king size card for big and tall guys that is issued through them. I had it for about a year now. I startes off at $600 and now I am up to $800.

Remarks They pulled a hard inquiry and denied based their decision on the history of your account? They could've just checked your statements lol

Remarks Yes hjm331, they did do me like that! I was mad but what could I say? Crazy I know the catalog you are talking about, they are now sending me those in the mail. Did you know I just received something from my email address talking about "The Bug" or "Little Bug" clothing store who is financed by Spirit of America? I went to the website and it looks just like Lane Bryant. I just closed the site and called it a day. I wonder if the Avenue is going to do the same. As far as your limit goes, they gave you something lovely to start with. When I first received my limit from LaneBraynt they were through WFNB and that is where the $250 came from. But I figure that Spirit of America would show me some love.

Remarks The Avuene is backed by WFNB, they are pretty stubborn at times, but I took my friend into the store with no credit but damaged credit from utility companies and she was approved for $250.

How many inq, co's, derogs, late payments, new accounts, or bk (if any) were in play at the time you applied? Maybe that played a factor, if not, what was your scores?
