hjm331's review: Callout Comment I feel bad for those who are in the Credit Addict Club since I promised them I won't apply for a new card but when I saw that I have a chance for an AMEX, I just had to do it. They approved me with $1,000 CL. My EXP score was 660 at the time and payment history was 6 months old. No lates, no bk's, very clean credit history.

One question though, since I want the AMEX Blue, should I upgrade this card to the AMEX Blue or apply for it in 2 years?

I'm still waiting on the card.

Remarks That is GREAT that you have the card. I am not fond of AX but so many are. I have mine for many years.

American Express is very odd. NEVER let your balance on ANY of your cards go over 50% if AX sees that you have gone over 50%, they will cut your credit line to your outstanding balance. Once you pay off your other debts they will raise your credit line again. They are very very odd in the way they handle customers.

AMEX Blue- Go Get It! User Icon on 2008-01-31

Remarks Hjm331 if you want the Amex Blue, it is best to go and apply for it now before you activate your delta card. If you have already done so, then apply before it appears on your credit report. If you got approved for the Delta you have a good chance to get the Blue. They will not just let you switch because they are two different departments. Giving away a customer to another department is like losing the customer entirely. Do it now or you will have to wait the two years! Good luck!

Already Tried It. User Icon on 2008-01-31

Remarks I applied for the AMEX Blue right after I got approved for the Gold Delta AMEX, but I guess I pushed my luck. Brian, if they really are two departments, do you think that is why most of us are getting approved for this AMEX card?

Whaaaat! User Icon on 2008-02-01

Remarks You reniging trader! You went out and applied for a card after you promised that you would not do so. I cant believe this. You will have to start all over again from day one in the "Credit addict club." You let the love button trigger your faith to hold back. I knew these approvals on this side was going to persuade you into applying. Umm Umm Umm! Shame on you. Did you think that we were not going to find out?

Hehehe, just kidding bro, way to go, I cant even complain because I know that you really wanted this card. Credit addicts, I was aware of this, but hjm331 decided to come clean with what he done. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Remarks This card has the option to pay over time right? I think you can pay over time for purchases over $200.

First CLI For This Card User Icon on 2008-02-27

Remarks Well after paying AMEX about $980 this month, paid my balance off in full, I asked for a CLI and guess what they did? They temporarily suspended my account. I don't know for what reason but they better give me a CLI and get things up and running like before.
