I just came across this wonderful card for my daughter. She will be going away to college soon and this card will actually reward her with a $20 bonus at the end of each year if she maintains a 3.0 GPA. The credit limit is just enough for her (around $1000.00) and she still has the ability to earn rewards on purchases. The APR is variable at 13.49%- 22.49%, but there is a six-month introductory period where all purchases are 0%. I would recommend this card to any student that is just starting college and doesn't have a big credit history or have student loans on their credit report.

It sounds like a good way for students to build credit on their own, and linking the bonus to GPA is a really nice incentive to keep focusing on their studies.
