alice's review: Callout Comment I got this card a little less than a year ago. It's been my first credit card in years since some one stole my credit and completely ruined it. I managed to clean up some of it but since I barely use credit and when some one steals your ID you are pretty much guilty until you prove yourself innocent, I ended up getting frustrated and saying bugger it.

Needless to say they gave me a 500 dollar limit (some how my Fico score is pretty good even though there are still fake acocunts listed on my credit) but it was a great start to rebuilding my credit. They've already upped my limit to 2000 in less than a year and I already got another pre approved offer from Amex for their blue card so I'm betting they are definitely helping me in my mission to rebuild my credit.

The one annoying thing is you have to pay one day in advance unless you want to be charged for "express payment". And it can take a while for some charges to show up (I wanted to pay my full balance one month but could not cause some charges had not shown up and htey would not let me pay more than what was listed). I'm not sure if that complaint is standard for most cards though.

I have to say, especially after having my ID stolen, it is a really nice perk that you can see an overview of your credit with the card and your FICO score. And I've had good experiences iwth them as my bank (I've banked with them for 5-6 years before getting this card. Had them as my bank before my ID was stolen even).

And I am grateful that they were willing to give me a chance (I found out my credit was stolen when my old card, Bank One, dropped me like a hot potato despite the fact they never even got affected by it. I bought a 2000 dollar couch with their card, paid it back in 2 weeks as I only wanted the protections offered by credit card, and they thought it was odd I was even using hte card as I barely used it, checked my credit, waited for me to pay it off, then promptly dropped me. Of all the 14 credit card companies they were the least helpful to deal with despite being my one valid card at the time!!! Citibank was the most helpful even though they got ripped off by the thief and I wasn't really one of their customers since it was not me who applied and used the card).
