Recently decided to apply for the Discover IT card after receiving many prescreened offers in the mail for this card. Other cards that I hold are Bank of America card ($1000 CL), 2 Cap One (both $750 CL) and Macy's store card ($500 CL). I can honestly say I was surprised after applying online and seeing that I was instantly approved for the card. Once I was approved, it did not tell me what my limit was so I decided to call in and find out what it was. After speaking to one of the very nice representatives, I almost fell out my chair when she congratulated me and told me I was approved for a $6000 CL !! I found it pleasantly surprising because my FICO is 680 and a few months ago I applied for a Citi Thank You card and was denied. I am definately excited to hold this card because of the nice rewards you get with it. Can't wait to start taking advantage of the rewards!!

Congratulations! That is a GREAT credit limit from Discover. Plus, they tend to give you Automatic CLI's over time. Did you get their special promo APR? Either way, you will have plenty of room to keep utilization low with that card. They have excellent customer service and the cash back is a really nice feature. Enjoy your new card.

Thanks ! I actually did get the promo ..0% APR for 14 months and 16.99% thereafter. Very excited in having this card, and felt like being a risk taker and applied for the Chase Freedom card as well and was approved with a 5K limit. Will definately be keeping my utilization down with these 2 new cards.

You're gonna love the IT card. I converted my old More account over to it. Nice to get straight 1% cb on all purchases. No spending tiers with this one, but i wish the 5% cb categories would be for more things i spend towards. As for the Freedom, i have to say nothing but good things about Chase as of the past year or so. Their recon is as good as it gets. Better than Barclays these days. Also, after 13 mos with the Freedom, you can request to convert it to Signature, and it will still report the credit line if you're interested. Congrats!

Thanks everyone ...I am looking forward to start using my card...I actually received it today. As far as the freedom card I am definately going to change it after the 13 months into the signature ..always wanted one of those.
