akcredit's review: Callout Comment Hi FG,

After I applied for the Amex SPG card, I gave this card a shot. I wanted a MasterCard and couldn't find a link for it. I went to mastercard.com and searched for it there and applied from there. Since my wife had an account with them we logged in from the app and it pre filled everything for us. I hit submit and got a pending decision. I called there reconsideration line and was told they will process the application. After some name and address verification they put me on hold with a few minutes we got approved $5000.
40k after $3000 spent in 3 months. APR and Fico are not known.

Now here is the kicker after I was done after an hour. I called Chase to increase the credit line of the Freedom card for $2500 and was told why I wanted the increase. I told them I wanted to take a cruise and the amount was going to be between 550-700, also I wanted to use Chase because they were good to me. I was told the CLI was pending approval and it would be a few days before an answer. Logged in today after 9:00 am EST and there it was there $2500 CL. SCORE I hit two credit cards with one inquiry.

Today I checked Credit Karma and there was 2 Inquires one from AMEX and one from Chase. So now She got these cards within 1 year and 2 months of credit history, 4-7 credit Inquires depending the CRA:

Chase Sapphire MasterCard: $5000

Amex SPG : 2500

Chase Freedom: 2500

Discover More: 2500

Macys: 1000

Capital one: 750

BOA: 500 (Closed)

Not too shabby.... Thanks FG and Thank you Chase. Next up is only CITI Forward for the rest of the year and I am done and will be gardening for a while.

Remarks Hi FG,

Sorry but they did take another inquiry for the CLI. I just seen my wife TU report and they did take two. I thought they would use the same one for the new card. The good thing about it is now the froodom card matches Discover and AMEX.

Remarks Thank you Wanderer and Tyty2010;

My wife's FICO Score is 744 TU, 6 INQ, 6% DTC ratio, 40K income. 15.24% APR ....... World MasterCard.

I hope this helps people who are trying to get this card. The card looks and feels unbelievably incredible, has good weight to it. In the front it has only you name and on the back it has the MasterCard Logo and credit card number and also you name on it. Its really a cool looking card.

Remarks Chase Sapphire Preferred is my main card these days. I've racked up over 100k UR points and growing. Can't wait to use them towards a very deserving vacation this summer. Chase has been very good to me. This is one of their top tier products, and applicants must have established histories, along with other credit lines of 5k and higher. I've noticed in the last year or so that that criteria can be debated, with all the approvals i've seen online, and in other forums. Got mine Nov 12', and already a nice auto cli of 4.1k bringing me to 17.6k on this card. Guess they like seeing heavy usage, and pif. Enjoy your card, you'll love it!
