patrick12's review: Callout Comment I have had an Amazon store card for quite some time now, I order lots of movies and other items from Amazon quite frequently because I can do 0% interest deals and pay them off quick! I noticed Chase offers a rewards program, 5 points for all Amazon purchases, 2 points for gas and dining, and 1 point for all other purchases, so I went ahead and applied, Instant approval for $6,500 and 13.24% which isnt too shabby! Pulled TransUnion, score is 743! This is my 3rd Chase account I have and so far I love them! I am going to close my GE Money Bank Amazon account which has a limit of $2,100 and an APR of 26.99%! When I add up how much I have spend through Amazon and figure up the points, I can justify having this card pretty easily!

Remarks Nice fish you hooked. Good CL and with their best interest rate. In fact, other than Chase Slate you got their lowest online rate! Great hook.

Remarks Wanderer, I am in the process of weeding out the cards I dont use anymore, I have some excellent cards with high limits, but with that said, do they get used? Not much! Since I am heading in the "Prime" direction its time to bid farewell to those who served a purpose but dont get used! I have decided to keep about 6 bank cards and a few store cards, as well as my AMEX as I hear that type of account can add a few points to "FICO" I think I am going to hang on to Citi, Discover, and Chase!

Remarks Credit Garden weeding.

I have been doing the same (weeding). I find it is hard NOT to hoard old credit cards (from the hard old days). But, my FICO Scores increased when I did some quality downsizing and repositioning. Still have another card to go.

When it is done later this month, survivors (not the show) Chase, US Bank, First National Bank of Omaha, Citi Bank along with store cards of JC Penney, Kohls and Holiday Station Stores will be my survivors.

Remarks On your new card and cl. I would like to add don't close out your GE Money Amazon unless you are being charged a high annual fee. You have a decent cl on it and closing it might ding your score good. Anyway good luck!
