jelopez88's review: Callout Comment This card is relatively easy to apply for and most of the time, you can be approved for an account. You do earn rewards for using the card and Macy's sends discount cards for 10 or 20% off merchandise.

The downside of the card is whenever there is a mistake on you bill, correcting it can be a tiresome, frustrating process. The bank behind the card is slow to correct the billing errors and makes arbitrary decisions regarding credit limits.
With the rewards program, only certain merchandise can be used with the discounts; all of the really good brands are excluded.

Remarks Congratulations. This appears to be a nice card. Isn't this card issued by Citibank?

Remarks No, it is issued by Retailer's National Bank and they have been a headache to deal with regarding billing mistakes. For the last two months when I have made payments to my account on time, I have received letters saying the payment has been returned by my bank. I have also been charged a late fee even though I paid on time. I checked back with my bank and they said the payment cleared my checking account which tells me RNB bank accepted the payments. On both occasions, I went into one of the local Macy's stores in my area and submitted a payment in-store with a personal check which is converted into an electronic payment. Evidently there must be a problem with that form of payment.

Remarks Thanks, Patrick. I did not realize DSNB was a division of Citibank. I thought it was a stand alone financial institution.

Remarks As a followup, DSNB is not a true bank and does not accept deposit accounts. It is established soley for the purpose of dealing with credit cards. Located in South Dakota it has no employees and the work is contracted out. It is part of Citi Bank which was already stated.
