bc8787's review: Callout Comment So I was looking at the reviews of this card and also the details of this card on Finance Globe. I got a invitation in the mail and decided to apply over the phone with the number they gave me on the mail offer. It was a computer not a real person. No thank you. I also have a few friends with this card and they said not to waste my time with citi. But I was looking online and saw that they had %0 for 21 months on purchases and balance transfers. Can't beat that. Applied online and 60 seconds later I was approved. What I am concerned about it that I have a nice credit line but the apr after 21 months ranges from 11.99-21.99 and I got a 19.99??

$9,000 credit line
My scores are-
714 experian
708 equifax

Remarks Congrats, they gave you a great credit line but the interest rate is outrageous I'm not so sure I would accept that offer , unless I had a balance transfer. Your credit scores are high enough to where with any other company you would have gotten a lower APR. I think I would have gone for the Chase Slate instead.

Remarks BC, I just posted a reply to you in a thread you had commented on. :)

I applied for this card last night and got it, but only after calling them this morning. (Same thing happened with my Citi AAdvantage MC - $8,500 LOC w/ flexible limit.)

They approved me for a $2,600 LOC with 0% for 21 months, and 8.74% APR after that. Was disappointed with the LOC at first, but the rate is unbeatable -- for the intro period and especially after that!

EX 748. EQ 748. TU 700.

Remarks Congrats on your new Citi Card! I have two Citi Cards and they have been very fair. My first card with Citi was back in 1973 where I obtained a Gold Visa and a $5,000 CL. Big deal then. As to NOT accepting accounts or closing new accounts for whatever reason... think about it.. you already took the hard inquiry in the credit bureau so you may as well make the best of it! After you have a track record with Citi you could call them and request a better interest rate. They used to lower your credit card rates if the performance was good.

Remarks Yeah. I am defenitely not going to refuse it after having a hard inquiry. I got an alert from equifax of the hard inquiry and it lowered my score 13 points!! Grr. No more applying for anything for me for awhile.

I do have a Chase freedom card that has been great but the slate? Eh. i dont like the way its sideways.

Remarks Congratulations !!! If you like Chase ! I would checkout the freedom card. It has all the same features as the Slate as well you earn rewards. Citi will definately take care of you! They've got some great products and their customer service is top notch as well.
