I wish you all the best Valerian. It takes time, but soon you'll have to fight off the good offers! In the meantime, I know it's frustrating... Seven years ago my credit was so terrible; I had a secured First Premier with a $300 limit and an unsecured Orchard with a $300 limit also. My score was so low that I couldn't even open a checking account (too many NSFs and a Chexsystems negative).

Total Visa, DOn't Do It on 2007-12-22
I had this card for 16 months. It's been paid off for the past three months. I called and asked for an increase in my limit. They sent me a cash advance PIN. I called back and again asked for a credit line increase. They gave me one. 25.00. I wish I was joking.
If you have it, cut it up now. They will never increase your limit. BTW My FICO is 680 right now. And no increase...

For A Checking Account... on 2008-01-12
Try Bank of America and apply on a checking account on line...
After you been approve... You can get checking accounts w/other banks. I could not get a checking account any where. Applied for Bank of America now I have two accounts with them, and just open one with Chase. Good luck...
