Deposited $500 last feb. Stopped by wachovia branch last wk. Bank manager said he would check for me, told me wells fargo would not unsecure any cards right now until they see how the new credit card law affects secured cards. One wk. Later received a letter from wells fargo congratulating me one managing.
My credit card, so they raised my credit limit to $700 but my card is still secured. What's up with that?

Well, I would say its semi-secured now, what I am reading they did not give your deposit back, but raised your limit by 200?

What to say? I had a Wells Fargo Bank NA Platinum Visa and after sixteen months they would not unsecure so I closed the account.

go to Bank of America for a secured card. They will definitely unsecure it between 9 months to a year...

Stay away from wells fargo I had a secured card 3 years ago I had 3000 in it. It got unsecured a year later. I got it all the way to 9000 then they dropped it to 3350 for no reason and I have been trying the last year and a half to get it back up I have nothing neg on my credit report and they still refuse I have a lot of money in there bank have 3 accounts with them including a mortgage of 4 years never missed a payment on don't deal with these jokers and if you ever can avoid it don't ever talk to the manager Ramona Jackson she is the rudest manger I have ever had to deal with.
