Yes that will do it. Give it a rest and begin to move forward with the ones your currently have. Your scores will build back up in time, don't lower them any more through cc applications.

Yes, you def need to hold off on the application spree's. That's gotten a lot of us here (my included) in some troubles. Just build now and the rest will come later.
